Google Ads PMax Update: Device Targeting on Campaign Level - PPC News

Google Ads Update for Performance Max Campaigns: Device Control is now showing in some accounts.Ā

ššˆš† ššŒššš± ššžš°š¬! We finally have šƒšžšÆš¢šœšž š‚šØš§šš«šØš„ ššš šš”šž šœššš¦š©ššš¢š š§ š„šžšÆšžš„ šŸ”„ After Page Feeds, Brand Guidelines, Brand Exclusions and very recently Age Exclusions.

I spotted a fresh new feature live in an account that was long requested: Device targeting in PMax.

You can now select šƒšžšÆš¢šœšžš¬ inside ššŒššš± šœššš¦š©ššš¢š š§š¬ š¬šžššš¢š§š š¬:
āœ… Computers: Desktop or laptop devices with screens larger than 7" in diagonal.
āœ… Mobile phones: Hand-held devices that include a phone.
āœ… Tablets: Mobile devices that don't necessarily include a phone.
āœ… TV screens: Devices that stream TV content such as smart TVs, gaming consoles, and connected devices like Chromecast. This targeting option is only available for Display and Video campaigns.

This was previously not possible. Now you get more visibility and control.

š“š¢š©: Could be time to start excluding TV screens for performance focused B2B campaigns or isolating mobile only traffic to align with landing page UX for example. A lot more tactics are now ready to be implemented.

Thanks for that update, Google!
